This is a very good complete set of The Palliser Novels by Anthony Trollope, 6 Volumes, hardcovers. 1991 Oxford University Press. They are all illustrated with numerous illustrations by various illustrators. All 6 volumes are in very good condition inside and out. PLEASE NOTE; there is dust spotting along outer top page edges of each volume but does not carry over to inside pages, see photo. The inside pages on each are crisp and clean. The bindings are tight and straight. Black hardcore boards on each are also very good with only a hint of shelf wear and feature black boards with tan cloth quarter trim. Each is 12mo book size each or 5" x 7.25" making them a smaller than standard book size.
The Palliser Novels were written in order by Anthony Trollope between 1864 and 1879. The novels in order are: Can You Forgive Her, Phineas Finn, The Eustace Diamonds, Phineas Redux, The Prime Minister and The Duke's Children. It is recommended the novels be read in order as "spoiler alerts" emerge as the series continues.
The novels were known as The Parliamentary Novels prior to being transformed into a BBC drama known as The Pallisers. They encompass several themes including British and Irish politics, family saga, and Victorian life. The interest is less in the politics and more in the social backdrop.
