This is a near fine (almost like new) hardcover with accompanying slipcase. Circa 1970's Time Life Art Series books. This copy is crisp and clean inside and out. Hardcover boards in tan with maroon quarter trim are near fine with barely a hint of shelf wear. The accompanying slipcase is also near fine, with full color illustrated frontispiece. Larger coffee table style book, quarto book size or 9.5" x 12".
The World of Durer from Time Life Art Library features the artists world and work. The German painter was known as one of the most important artists of the Northern Renaissance. The book is extensively illustrated with his works along with detailed text of his life and times.
