This is a near fine (almost like new) hardcover with accompanying slipcase. Circa 1970's Time Life Art Series books. This copy is crisp and clean inside and out. Hardcover boards in tan with brown quarter trim are near fine with barely a hint of shelf wear. The accompanying slipcase is also near fine, with full color illustrated frontispiece. Larger coffee table style book, quarto book size or 9.5" x 12".
The World of Rubens from Time Life Art Library is a comprehensive collection of the work and life of Peter Paul Rubens who was a Flemish artist. He was known for painting in the Baroque tradition and his female portraits reflect such. This edition is extensively illustrated with his art and the text details his life and work.
