This is a near fine (almost like new) hardcover with accompanying slipcase. First Printing 1962 Farrar Straus Cudahy Publishing New York. This copy is crisp and clean inside and out. The pages are still crisp and clean. Mint green hardcover boards are also near fine with barely a hint of shelf wear. The accompanying slipcase is very good, showing light shelf wear but overall still clean and mostly shiny. The binding is tight and straight. Standard octavo book size or 6" x 9" with 218 pages.

God Made Little Apples was published in 1962 and follows the final days of a Brother in the monastery of Dublin who suffered a stroke. He begins to recall his youth on a poor farm and beginning days as a Brother. Some memories recall daily activities, others various people.
