Against the Brotherhood by Quinn Fawcett is one in a series authorized by Dame Jean Conan Doyle of Holmes type novels that featured Mycroft Holmes, Sherlock's older brother. Sherlock Holmes acknowledged that Mycroft was the smarter of the two. Mycroft appeared in only four Conan Doyle stories. Not much was ever revealed about him in those novels. It seems Mycroft rarely left his home or comforts of a local Club, yet exerted much influence in the British government.
This novel lifts the curtain on Mycroft and the novel is full of the typical Conan Doyle style of assassination attempts, spies, and sabotage. Sure to please any Sherlock Holmes fan.
