This is a very good hardcover with accompanying slipcase. 1943 Heritage Press Illustrated Bookshelf Edition. This copy is clean inside and out. The pages are clean and the only foxing seen is inside front/back cover as expected (see photo). The binding is tight and straight. Green cloth hardcover boards are very good with only light fading along spine where exposed when slipcased. The accompanying ring slipcase is good, solid but is taped along top edge where loose. Medium octavo book size or 6.5" x 9.5" with 549 pages.
Lorna Doone a Romance of Exmoor is an English novel by R. D. Blackmore. It was originally published in 1869. It is based on historical characters set in 17th century Devon and Somerset. The novel was acclaimed when published and remains a classic of English literature.
