This is a near fine (almost like new) hardcover with dust jacket. William Morrow Publishing. This copy is crisp and clean inside and out. NOTE: it was a publishers overstock item and has remainder mark top outer page edges (see photo) but mark does not carry over to inside pages. The inside pages are crisp and clean. The binding is tight and straight. Hardcover boards under jacket are also near fine. The dust jacket is very good with only light shelf wear along top edges/corners. Standard medium octavo book size or 6.5" x 9.6" with 528 pages.

From his first published story - " The Trail of The Apache" through 5 decades of classic Western tales - Leonard demonstrated over and over his superb talent for gripping narrative and classic tales. Elmore Leonard's first two stories sold in the 1950's for 2 cents a word - $100 dollars each. The rest is history as his writing became legendary.
