This is a near fine (almost like new) hardcover with a good solid accompanying slipcase. 1972 Folio Society, London. This copy is crisp and clean inside and out. The pages are crisp and clean with no markings seen. The binding is tight and straight. Marbled design hardcover boards with maroon quarter trim are also near fine. The accompanying slipcase is very good BUT has been neatly taped top edge where loose (see photo). Standard octavo book size or 6" x 9" with 372 pages.
Solo Retital The Reminiscences of Michael Kelly is a recollection of the star singers and musicians at the end of the 18th and beginning of the 19th century. Kelly traveled all over Europe and this memoir of sort recalls his travels and encounters with the great opera music and stars. This edition is edited with a biographical index by Herbert Van Thal along with an intro by J.C. Trewin.
