This is a very good set of two hardcover with accompanying slipcase. 1958 Basic Books Publishing. Both hardcovers in this set are still crisp and clean inside and out. The pages are remarkable crisp and clean with no markings or annotations seen. NOTE: inside front cover is previous owners bookplate neatly placed near top of inside cover (see photo). The bindings are tight and straight. Maroon hardcover boards on both are also very good with barely a hint of shelf wear. The accompanying slipcase is good, showing wear but original paste-down of title/author/publishing information still very good condition. Each volume is medium octavo book size or 6.5" x 9.5" with 1005 pages total between the volumes including index.
