This is a very good hardcover, NO dust jacket, jacket missing. Circa 1980's Scribner Publishing. Copyright renewed 1960's, this is a reprint from Scribner. This copy is crisp and clean inside and out. The pages are still crisp and clean with no markings seen. The binding is tight and straight. Blue hardcover boards with navy quarter trim are also very good with only a hint of shelf wear. Standard octavo book size or 6" x 9" with 507 pages. Pages ends rough cut for handsome binding.
Published in 1940, For Whom The Bell Tolls by Ernest Hemingway tells the story of a young American volunteer during the Spanish Civil War. The book was published just after the end of the war. The novel is considered one of Hemingway's best works and endures today as a literary classic.
