This is a very good hardcover with dust jacket. 1971 MacMillan Publishing, Movie Tie In Book Club Edition. This copy is clean inside and out. The pages inside are very clean, still crisp, with no markings seen. The binding is tight and straight. Rough cut page edges. Blue cloth hardcover boards with silver title lettering along spine under jacket are also very good with only a hint of shelf wear. The accompanying dust jacket is clean, still mostly shiny with light shelf wear along edges/corners. Octavo book size or 5.5" x 9" with 211 pages.
Diamonds are Forever by Ian Fleming was published by MacMillan in 1956. Although the copyright page on this copy states "1956" it is the Book Club edition, also published by MacMillan in 1971 as evident by the movie tie in dust jacket featuring Sean Connery as Bond and Jill St John and Lana Wood as the Bond girls. Often copyright pages were NOT updated for the reprint book club edition. Regardless, this is a collector edition with the movie tie in art by Robert McGinnis.
It is another great installment of Bond novels as popular today as when they were first published.
