This is a very good hardcover with accompanying slipcase. 1966 Folio Society. This copy is crisp and clean inside and out. NOTE: previous owners bookplate with name neatly marked out inside front cover (see photo). Only other mark seen inside is date 8-19-7 neatly stamped on second page. The rest of pages inside are still crisp and clean. The fine and durable sewn binding is tight and straight, almost like new. Hardcover boards are illustrated front and back with green quarter trim and are very good with only a hint of shelf wear. The accompanying slipcase is also very good with only a hint of shelf wear.
Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift is an example of classic literature that is a satire of human nature and traveling tales. It was an immediate success and remains a staple of literary classics. This edition is finely illustrated with lithographs by Edward Bawden.
