This is a very good hardcover. 1987 Longmeadow Press Illustrated Edition. This copy is very clean inside. The pages are still crisp and clean with no markings seen. The binding is tight and straight. Full color illustrated front and back hardcover boards are also very good with only very light shelf wear. Inside the "This Book Belongs To" space is unmarked (see photo). This is a slightly larger book size, just over medium octavo size or 8" x 9" with 272 pages and 8 full color illustrations.
This finely illustrated edition of The Secret Garden is a gem and sure to please readers of all ages. Troy Howell has provided full color illustrations to accompany the beloved story. The novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett was first published in 1911 after being serialized in The American Magazine. It is set in England and considered a classic of English Childrens literature. The enduring themes of the novel still resonate today and in 2007 the National Education Association listed it as one of the top 100 books for children.
