This delightful autobiography from Peter Falk takes us on a journey that begins not in Hollywood but in Hartford where he worked for the state of Connecticut. The first day on the job he could not find the office and wound up in the post office. His time there was no more successful than his attempt to find work as a spy with the CIA. Eventually he turned to an old college interest; acting. He found success on Broadway revival of The Iceman Cometh. Working on Broadway for the next 3 years, he was "discovered" but told to not expect too much work in motion pictures because of his glass eye. But in 1958 things changed. His first movie found him nominated for an Academy Award and his second movie paired him with Bette Davis. The rest as they say is history.
