This is a near fine (almost like new) leather bound hardcover. 1976 Franklin Library Limited Edition. This copy is crisp and clean inside and out. The pages are still crisp and clean with no markings seen. The binding is tight and straight. Smyth sewn fine binding. Apricot silk moire endpapers with sewn-in satin ribbon bookmark. Gold gilt page edges. Bound in tan leather with gold design and lettering. Hubbed spine finish the fine binding accents on this edition. Printed on fine archival paper stock.

Now in November by Josephine Johnson is finely illustrated by Joesph Isom. The novel won the Pulitzer Prize in 1935. It was published when the author was only 24 years old. It is a charming account of a farming family's life trying to scrap by during the Dust Bowl. They were facing Depression Era hardships and earning a living and covers the course of one year. It is narrated by one of 3 sisters. The novel was ahead of its time in portraying mental health issues, gender, race and class issues and remains a classic being enjoyed by new readers today.
