This is a very good hardcover with dust jacket. 1985 Longmeadow Press. This copy is very clean inside and out. The pages are still crisp and clean with no markings seen. The binding is tight and straight. Black hardcover boards under the jacket are very good, almost like new with barely a hint of shelf wear. The dust jacket is very good BUT top front edge has small tear (see photo). Overall the dust jacket is clean and still shiny with only light shelf wear aside from the top minor tear. Medium octavo book size or 6.5" x 9.5" with 495 pages including index.
In this book the editor has brought together 50 horror stories. Stories incude a variety of characters including a prehistoric horseman galloping over the downs, phantom lovers, the Famous Bird of Lincoln's Inn, Ghosts from all over the world and more. Authors include Frank Usher, Ronald Seth, J. Wentworth Day and more. Sure to fill many nights with scary stories for those who read under the covers.
