This is a very good larger hardcover with dust jacket. 1999 Simon & Schuster Publishing. This copy is crisp and clean inside and out. NOTE: previous owners name neatly stamped inside front cover (see photo). Otherwise, the pages are almost like new, crisp and clean. The illustrations are bright and colorful. The binding is tight and straight. Yellow hardcover boards under jacket are like new with barely any wear. The dust jacket is clean and shiny with only a hint of shelf wear. The previous owners name is stamped in small letters on bottom outer page edges but does not carry over to inside and is unobtrusive to outside. Larger hardcover, imperial octavo book size or 9" x 11" with 95 pages including bibliography.
Atlantis Rising is another great book by Robert Sullivan, author of Flight of the Reindeer. In Atlantis separates historical truth from legend. Delving into the historical record, then into secret files that have long been under lock and key at the famous Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, he discovers rare documents, maps and photos. They are all included in this book along with paintings by renowned natural-history artist Glenn Wolfe.
