This is a very good copy, bound in genuine leather. Easton Press Collectors Edition 1977. PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION as this copy is being generously offered on sale due to two minor issues. this fine binding from Easton Press is as you would expect. Bound in genuine black leather it features gold design of Moby Dick along with gold title/author lettering. Hubbed spine with page edges tipped in gold. NOTE: along the top outer edge the gold tipping is flaking off (see photos). Inside the front cover is previous owners name plate, (see photo). Otherwise this copy is crisp and clean inside with no other markings seen. The page paper is archival acid neutral paper to preserve integrity and quality. Vellum endpapers and Smyth sewn binding along with attached satin bookmark add to the fine binding. Royal octavo book size or 7" x 10" with 615 pages including Epilogue.
