This is a very good set of two hardcovers with accompanying slipcase. 1956 The Folio Society. NOTE: inside front cover of both hardcovers is previous owners bookplate w name neatly marked out (see photo). Otherwise both of the hardcovers are very good inside and out. The pages are still crisp and clean with no other markings seen. The bindings are tight and straight. Tan cloth hardcover boards w brown quarter trim are also very good with barely a hint of shelf wear. The accompanying slipcase is very good, also with only a hint of shelf wear. Crown octavo book size, slightly smaller size or 5" x 9" with 288 pages Volume One and 304 pages Volume Two including notes.
