This is a very good hardcover with dust jacket. 2001 Free Press Publishing Edition. This copy is clean inside and out. There is just very light natural tanning to pages from age but they are still crisp and clean with no markings seen. The binding is tight and straight. Black hardcover boards under jacket are also very good with barely a hint of shelf wear. The dust jacket is very good, still mostly shiny with only light shelf wear. Crown octavo book size or 6" x 8" with 446 pages.
"If anything ever happens to me, promise me that you will see that there is an investigation... And find Ann Rule and ask her to write my story". This may be the first true crime book written at the victim's request. It is the story of Sheila Blackthorne Bullush and a shocking story chronicled in the book leaving no detail out.
The victim was in a loving second marriage but she never escaped the controlling and violent bonds of her first marriage. She was terrorized in her first marriage for a decade and although she had moved on with a second marriage and a new family of quadruplets, the terror still found her.
When found murdered in her home, authorities raced to link the crime to her former husband. In the book Ann Rule writes a true crime story of obsession, revenge and murder.
