The Civilization of Europe in the Renaissance by John Hale is a monumental work covering European history. This is a definitive history of Europe in the Renaissance. The book is divided into three parts; Part One Europe (discovery, countries, and divisions) Part Two Renaissance (transformations, transmissions, and Part Three Civilizations ( civility, civility in danger, control of man, taming of nature). It is lavishly and extensively illustrated throughout with maps, photos, and illustrations. It is a great tapestry of Renaissance Europe.
