This is a near fine (almost like new) hardcover with dust jacket. First Trade Printing Oct. 1996 Dutton Publishing. This copy is crisp and clean inside and out. The pages are still crisp, clean and free of markings. The binding is tight and straight. Red hardcover boards w tan quarter trim under jacket are almost like new with barely a hint of shelf wear. The dust jacket is very good, clean with only a hint of shelf wear along edges. Standard royal octavo book size or 6.5" x 10" with 466 pages.
Writing under the pseudonym of Richard Bachman, The Regulators by Stephen King was published in 1996, the same time as Desperation. The two novels are intended to be "mirror" novels as they represent parallel universes relative to one another. The characters appear in different circumstances but they exist in both novels. Interestingly, if you place the two novels side-by-side, they create a complete illustration.
