This is a very good hardcover with dust jacket. 1990 First Edition Dutton Publishing. This copy is crisp and clean inside and out. NOTE: previous owners name neatly written inside front cover, see photo AND this was originally a remainder book (publishers overstock) and has remainder mark bottom page edges BUT it does not carry over to inside pages. Otherwise, the pages are crisp and clean with no other markings seen. The binding is tight and straight. Black hardcover boards w blue quarter trim under dust jacket are very good with only a hint of shelf wear. The dust jacket is clean and shiny with only light shelf wear. Nice solid and clean copy. Standard octavo book size or 6" x 9" with 548 pages.

Mystery by Peter Straub is the second installment in the author's Blue Rose Trilogy. The trilogy is Koko, Mystery and The Throat. The book won the 1993 Bram Stoker Award and is considered crime fiction. The trilogy carries the same themes and some characters throughout but is not in strict continuity.
