Jamaica Kincaid's first garden in Vermont was a square plot in the front lawn. There, she planted her favorite flower seeds. In My Garden Book, Jamaica Kincaid gathers all she loves about gardening. She recounts her favorite and not so favorite plants and flowers. She reviews the sources of her inspiration - the seed catalogs, the Gardens at Monet, and more. It is a book on gardens, the plants that fill them and the people who tend them.
