This is a very good hardcover. 1917 Houghton Mifflin Riverside Press. This copy is very good inside and out. The pages do have some light natural tanning from age but no foxing and they are very clean. Several poems have a small neat "check" mark top of page or dot of highlight on page # but not all pages, just a few. The binding is tight and straight. Maroon hardcover boards with gold title/author lettering on front are also very good. There is light shelf wear to cover but it is very clean. There is a minor small bump to bottom front right corner but only minimal wearing. This is a smaller hardcover, 12mo book size or 5" x 7.5" with 130 pages including author index.

This anthology is a compilation of love poems by some of the greats such as Edith M. Thomas, Emily Dickinson, Harriet Monroe, Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Zoë Akins, Alice Corbin, Christina Rossetti, and more. One hundred selections in all. This small hardcover was meant to be a "carry along" book to tuck in your purse, pocket or anywhere for reading anytime.
