This is a very good hardcover with acceptable dust jacket. 1947 Bonanza Books. This copy is clean inside. The pages are clean with no markings seen. Only a hint of light natural tanning to pages from age. The binding is tight and straight. Green cloth hardcover boards under jacket are good, light shelf wear but clean and overall good. The dust jacket is acceptable as present. There is wearing to edges/corner of jacket and several tears along edges, but present and preferred to no jacket at all. Larger hardcover, imperial octavo book size or 8" x 11" with 283 pages. Illustrated endpapers front and back.
Ghosts In Irish Houses by James Reynold is a compilation of 22 Irish folk tales as retold and illustrated by the author. The rich Celtic imagination is reflected in the stories and the illustrations. The ghosts inside have flourished in the Irish imagination from the 10th to 20th century. There are nine full page color paintings of Irish houses and castles along with many pencil sketches of their inhabitants.
