This is a very good, large heavy duty paperback. 1978 Star & Elephant Book, Green Tiger Press. Bound in heavy paper stock for durability, this is a large book, quarto book size or 10" x 12". This copy is very good condition inside and out. The inside pages are very clean and the accompanying tipped in full color artwork gracing the pages is clean, and in very good + condition. Each page is printed on heavy paper stock and the tipped in fine artwork is on a glossy paper stock. A Tipped-In page is usually an illustration that is printed separately from the main text of the book but attached to or "tipped in" to a page. Tipped in illustrations give the book a fine binding, quality and distinction feel. This book is no exception. Each tipped in artwork is in fine glossy paper attached to a black background heavy stock paper.
The binding of this book is very good and the cover is clean front and back with only a hint of shelf wear.
A Book of Unicorns is an assembled work of fine art and engaging text. The art was chosen for its historical importance and the text is some of the most important writings on the unicorn.
