This is a very good set of five paperbacks. Continue description information for various detailed title information. All are from the 1970's-80's. They are all in very good condition. The pages inside on all are very clean with no markings seen. The bindings are tight and square, NO creasing along the spine of any of these titles. The covers are still clean and mostly shiny with only a hint of shelf wear. All are crown octavo size or 5.5" x 9" with approx 170 pages each.
Publisher and editor Stuart David Schiff began to publish Whispers magazines that would be similar to the prior magazine publication Weird Tales. Whispers rose to feature and become a showcase for dark fiction and art of the 70's. Acclaimed writers such as Manly Wade Wellman, Robert Bloch, Ramsey Campbell and more had their work featured. Artists such as Stephen Fabian and Lee Brown Coye graced the pages. This set is less a "magazine" and more a paperback set as the covers are bound in thicker paperback, not magazine gloss.
