This is a very good hardcover. 1977 Time Life Books. This copy is very clean inside and out. There is light natural tanning from age to pages but they appear free of markings. Binding tight and straight. This series from Time Life was designed with an Old West feel. Brown imitation leather with hand-tooled look embossing graces front of the padded cover. Full color frontispiece illustration. 240 pages long, Imperial octavo size of or 8.5" x 11".

Cattle ranchers dotted the horizon and filled the plains where the buffalo outnumbered them. Soon, the wars over land and water began and Chapter 4 details the ruthless fighting over both water, land and the " invasion " of the sheepherders. But there was big money in the Badlands for the hearty and the brave.
