This is a very good hardcover. World's Best Reading Series from Readers Digest, 1984. This copy is very clean inside and out. The pages are still crisp, clean and free of markings BUT PLEASE NOTE: inside front cover there remains the previous owners bookplate, see photo. No other markings, writing etc seen. The binding is tight and straight. Hardcover boards front and back are also very good with only a hint of shelf wear. Standard octavo size or 6" x 9" with 414 pages.
This edition of Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë is finely illustrated by Richard Lebenson with an afterword by Julie Erlich. Twelve illustrations highlight the text and give the edition a fine touch.
Originally published in 1847 under the pen name "Currer Bell", this literary classic is one of the worlds greatest novels. Charlotte Brontë was considered to be ahead of her time with her literary writing and is still a beloved author today.
