This is a very good mass market paperback. Fifth Dell Publishing Printing March 1973. This copy is crisp and clean inside and out. The pages are still crisp, clean with no markings seen. The binding is tight and straight, NO creasing along spine. the cover is still clean and shiny with only a hint of shelf wear. Original price of .95 cents appears on front cover. This is a standard mass market paperback with 215 pages and handsomely bound with turquoise blue page tint from publisher.
Aptly titled Slaughterhouse Five, or The Childrens Crusade: A Duty Dance with Death, the novel was written in 1969. It is somewhat autobiographical and follows the life of Billy from his early years to his service as an America soldier and chaplain assistant during World War Two. Vonnegut lived through the firebombing of Dresden as a prisoner of war and the novel follows that storyline. It has become one of the most enduring anti-war novels of all time.
