This is a very good hardcover with dust jacket. Book Club Edition Random House. This copy is crisp and clean inside. The pages are crisp, clean and free of markings. White and bright inside, pages are near fine (almost like new). The black cloth hardcover boards under jacket are also near fine with silver title lettering on spine and Capote initials front cover boards. The dust jacket very good. It is clean but showing shelf wear including tear to front cover top right edge and small tears along bottom edges. Overall near fine inside with very good dust jacket. Crown octavo size or 5.5" x 8" with 262 pages.
Truman Capote continues his remarkable writing, following up the incomparable "nonfiction novel" "In Cold Blood", with this selection of work. Fourteen pieces grace the book, including a portrait of Marilyn Monroe titled "A Beautiful Child", and a novella-length factual account of an unforgettable American crime, "Handcarved Coffins".
