This is a near fine (almost like new) hardcover. 1992 Time Life Books. This copy is crisp and clean inside and out. Pages crisp, clean and free of markings. Binding tight and straight. Cover bound in maroon imitation leather w embossed design front only and color illustration front. Only very light wear to cover, mostly at corners or edges. Imperial octavo size or 8.5" x 11" with 183 pages.
Time Life published this series in the 1990's called The American Indians. Each title in the series focused on a different topic of American Native history. This title, The First Americans, depicts everyday life from gathering food to building shelter and more. From the Mound builders to the people of the desert, to the whale hunters, different groups are detailed with photos, color illustrations, and more. Archeological discoveries are featured such as pottery, clothing, adornments and more.
