This is a good rare and vintage hardcover. 1872 Harper Brothers Publishing, New York. This copy is overall quite well preserved. Inside pages are good overall, only occasional spot of foxing and there is light natural tanning to pages from age. Pages 140-146 have a watermark stain along edges but appear to be limited to those pages. Spots of foxing appear off an on but again, given age overall well preserved. The binding is good, All pages tight to binding and there is only a minor appearance of binding wear appearing between pages 26-27. Original gilt block cloth boards w gold title and author lettering on front. Gold title lettering in raised lettering along spine. The boards front and back are overall very good given age with wearing showing at corners and edges, mostly rubbing and gold gilt lettering very good with only light rubbing. 12mo size or 5" x 7" with 219 pages.
