This is a near fine (almost like new) hardcover. 1989 Great Illustrated Classics Edition for Young readers, adapted for children by Lucia Monfried. This copy is crisp and clean inside and out. The pages are still crisp, clean and free of markings. The binding is tight and straight. Hardcover boards are clean and shiny front and back with only a hint of shelf wear. Crown octavo size of 6" x 8" with 238 pages.

The Great Illustrated Classics series was developed for young readers grade 4 and up. The stories are adapted for young readers as an introduction to the literary classics. All all lavishly illustrated making reading fun and relatable. This edition of Little Women is no different with engaging illustrations and text designed for young literary minds.
