This edition of A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man by James Joyce features an intro by Hugh Kenner with illustrations by Brian Keogh. It is the first novel from Irish writer James Joyce. It follows Joyce's fictional alter ego and his religious and intellectual awakening. The book originally started as an autobiographical novel, but Joyce abandoned the original work and reworked the novel. The major themes are identity and religion.
