This leather-bound finely bound edition from Easton Press is one of their "100 Greatest Books Ever Written" series. This edition is illustrated by William Blake with prefaces by Philip Hofer and John T. Winterich. This poem from Milton is described as the noblest poem in the English language. Born in 1608, Milton began absorbed by the theme or original sin around 1637 and he brooded over Adam and Eve, Eden and sin which later bloomed into the prose Paradise Lost. This edition is illustrated with a full color frontispiece of Milton drawn by Robert J. Lee.
