This is a near fine, (almost like new) hardcover bound in imitation red leather. 1993 Viking Press. This is one of the "red leather" special edition book club books printed for subscribers. Dubbed "leather", they are NOT bound in true leather but rather have a "leather look" thus becoming known as the Red Leather editions. This copy is crisp and clean inside and out. The pages are crisp, clean and free of markings. The binding is tight and straight. Red hardcover boards with gold lettering and gold Stephen King facsimile signature on front cover. Medium octavo size of 6.5" x 9".
This psychological thriller/horror from Stephen King was published in 1992. It was very successful and was made into. Hollywood movie in 1995. The novel is presented as her "statement" to the local constable after being accused of killing Vera, her employer. In the statement Dolores professes her innocence on the killing of Vera, BUT does confess to killing her husband 30 years earlier. The confession is the story of her life, her troubled marriage and her employment with Vera.
