This is a fine, like new set of 3 leather-bound books. Easton Press 1980. Each of the volumes is crisp and clean inside and out. Pages are crisp, clean and free of markings. Each is bound in brown full leather with gold gilt design and title lettering. Silk moire fabric endpapers on each highlight the inside pages which are printed on acid neutral paper. Fine Smyth sewn binding is tight and straight like new on all. Attached silk ribbon bookmarks. Each volume has gold gilt page edges on all 3 sides. Hubbed spine finish off the fine bindings. Each has a full color illustration of Shakespeare opposite title page. The Histories is illustrated by John Farleigh, The Tragedies is illustrated by Agnes Miller Parker, and The Comedies is illustrated by Edward Ardizzone.
This set is a fine addition to any literary library. The Comedies is edited with an intro to each play by Peter Alexander along with a glossary and has 1120 pages. The Tragedies has an intro by George Rylands and includes glossary. The Histories has an intro by James G. McManaway with publishers preface and glossary.
