This is a very good hardcover with dust jacket. 1974 Random House Publishing. First Edition BUT NOT as First Printing. This copy is crisp and clean inside and out. Inside pages are still crisp and clean, no foxing seen. Blue cloth hardcover boards under jacket are very good with only light shelf wear. Binding tight and straight. Top page edges tipped in blue. There is a hint of dust spotting along outer page edges but does not carry over to inside. The dust jacket is clean and shiny with only light shelf wear along top edge and corners. Crown octavo size of 5.75" x 8" with 244 pages.
Myron was written as a sequel to Gore Vidal's 1968 bestseller Myra Breckinridge. Vidal was an extremely versatile if not controversial writer. His life and legacy include feuds with Truman Capote and William Buckley. However, his intellect and wit cannot be questioned.
