ALSO, the author has inscribed this copy inside front endpaper "Best Wished to Marvin King My Rogers Rangers Friend. Cordially Burt G Loescher". In addition, this copy has a print error marked out and corrected by the author on page 58, line 18. This copy is crisp and clean inside and out. No other marks aside from author inscription and correction to page 58 seen. No foxing. The binding is tight and straight. Green cloth hardcover boards are near fine with only a hint of shelf wear. Octavo size or 5.5 x 8" with 311 pages including index, bibliography, and extensive chapter notes.

Robert Ranger was an American soldier who served in the British Army during the French and Indian War and The American Revolutionary War. Rogers brought together companies of soldiers, known as rangers whose bold exploits in Northern New York commanded acclaim. Roger's military strategy was the inspiration for the formation of the U.S. Army Elite Ranger Corp.
