This is a very good hardcover, no dust jacket as none issued at publication. 1946 Privately Published by author. This copy is a Signed Limited Edition, #425 of 1500, signed by author Burt Loescher on Limitation page. This copy is very clean inside and out. Green cloth hardcover boards are very good with only a hint of shelf wear. Pages inside have light natural tanning but are clean, free of markings and no foxing seen. Binding tight and straight. 12mo size or 5.5" x 7" with 438 pages. Fold out color illustration of early Rogers Rangers uniform on front endpaper with several other color uniform illustrations and black and white maps, all drawn by authors wife, Helene Loescher.
This is the history of Rogers Rangers, the elite military group that would form and set the standard for future special forces. Major Robert Rogers military tactics were so effective that they formed the basis for the famed Army Green Berets.

Superb packaging for an antique book, worthy of being read. Finding this book was a GODsend! I had looked for it for a long time. Finding a SIGNED copy was beyond terrific!
