This is a very good hardcover, NO dust jacket, jacket missing. 1937 Privately Printed in Moline Illinois. This copy is very good inside and out. The pages are very clean and free of markings or foxing. The binding is tight and straight. The brown cloth hardcover boards are also very good, clean with only a hint of wearing at corners. Gold lettering accent the hardcover front with only a hint of wearing to title lettering along spine. Medium octavo size or 6.5" x 9" with 61 pages.
This edition is illustrated by Dale Nichols and has a color photo of John Deere attached to first page opposite title page. the charming illustrations accent the text that tells the history of this innovator who changed farmers lives all over the world. Starting with his beginnings as a blacksmith, the book continues to tell the tale of his ideas, industry launch and development and arrival. Very nice collectible and rare book for tractor and John Deere fans.
