This is a very good leather-bound hardcover. P.F. Collier and Son publishing, no publication date noted inside but research indicates early 1900's. Bound in red Morocco with Kipling signature in gold gilt on front cover, gold accents and title lettering. Attached silk ribbon bookmark. The binding is tight and straight on this copy. The pages are remarkably clean and still crisp. Illustrated endpapers front and back. The silk ribbon bookmark has some fraying along bottom edge but still very good overall. There is some dust spotting along side page edges but does not carry over to inside pages. Crown octavo, 5"x8" and 1004 pages. Frontispiece in book is black and white photo of Kipling with his facsimile signature under neath.
This one volume edition contains twelve volumes beginning with Departmental Ditties and Other Verses and ending with Wee Willie Winkie. Barrack-Room Ballads, The Phantom Rickshaw and other Ghost Stories, Under the Deodars, The Story of the Gadsbys, Soldiers Three, Plain Tales from the Hills and more.
Nice volume representing most of Kipling's works, although notable exceptions to his work are missing, including The Jungle Book,
in a fine binding that is still in very good collectible condition.
