This is a very good set of 4 hardcovers in slipcase. 1944 Random House. All 4 hardcovers are very good inside and out. There is a hint of light natural tanning to pages from age but minor. The pages are crisp and free of markings. The bindings are tight and straight. The slipcase is showing wear and some fraying along edges. Paste down on slipcase of titles, contents, illustrators etc very good. Overall a very good vintage set. Crown octavo size, 5"x8" hardcovers.
This set of 4 hardcovers are complete and unabridged with notes and glossary, and illustrations by Fritz Kredel and Warren Chappell. Comedies include The Tempest, Much Ado About Nothing, The Merchant of Venice and all the rest of the comedies. Tragedies include Romeo and Juliet, Prince of Denmark, King Lear and all the rest of the tragedies. Notes and glossary included for both tragedies and comedies.
