This is a a very good set of two large paperbacks. 1976 Running Press. Volume One 1288 pages, Volume Two 1118 pages. Each book is in good condition. The pages are crisp and clean, no markings seen. The bindings are tight and straight, only minor wrinkles along spine, no major creasing. **NOTE** In Volume One between pages 258-259, there is the beginnings of crack to spine, but pages are tight and this usually occurs when a reader bends the spine somewhat flat leaving a crease that can expand to cracked binding, this one is bent, pages still tight. You can see this in photos where we tried to show the described beginnings of the crack at spine.
Overall, both are in good condition and the covers on both are clean and still shiny with only very light shelf wear from display. Black and White of Mark Twain on back of both volumes.

This set was not originally published together. The first, The Unabridged Mark Twain was published in 1976. The Unabridged Mark Twain 2 was published in 1979 to complete the set. A Twain library would need to include both volumes to be complete. The Unabridged Mark Twain contains nearly every major piece of fiction that Mark Twain created in its totally unabridged glory. When the two volumes are paired, you own a complete library that contains every major piece of fiction.
