This is one of The Oxford Illustrated Dickens. Originally published in 1954, the 21 volume set was reprinted most recently in 1989. This collectible series is regarded as the most comprehensive illustrated Dickens available. Each volume contains original illustrations, many of which were used in the works first editions. The text is derived from the Charles Dickens Edition, revised by the author in the 1860's.
In this books intro, E. Salter Davies writes " No other novel of Dickes is richer in memorable characters than Our Mutual Friend". Characters like the spirited Bella Wilder, who, unlike other Dickens heroines, cannot be accused of unnatural virtue, and the insolent barrister Eugene Wrayburn along with rascal Silas, bring this artistic novel to life.
