This is a very good vintage collectible hardcover with dust jacket. 1959 DoubleDay Publishing. This copy is very clean inside. Pages are clean and free of markings. Red hardcover boards under jacket are also very good. Binding tight and straight. Only a hint of foxing to endpapers inside front and back cover. Inside pages only have light natural tanning from age.
Meet the Happy Hollisters!! Fun and adventure are always on the menu. In this adventure, Peter buys an old book and inside he finds a message, written in Chinese, except for the word "HELP"! They take the letter to a Chinese friend who translates it for them and they find it was written 20 yrs ago but never mailed. Peter tests the letter with his new detective kit for possible invisible ink and VOILA! is rewarded when concealed writing indicates the writer was being threatened because of a "treasure". Thus starts a trip to New York and Chinatown for the location of and answers to the mystery surrounding the book and mysterious letter.
