This was a definitive historical account of Paul Revere, his life and times, when originally published in 1942. Much acclaimed, this reprint edition contains a new foreword by Daniel J. Boorstin. The illustration on the slipcase oval is of Paul Revere's famous ride, an American primitive by an anonymous artist about 1815. Illustrated endpapers inside front and back. The illustrations contained within were specially selected for this edition. All of the original text embellished with new photos and foreword make this a collectible history title. Sewn binding with blue tipped top page edges and attached ribbon bookmark make this a handsome edition, along with the handsome slipcase.
