This is a very good larger paperback 1972 Dover Publications. This special and fine binding of this paperback is such quality it will last decades without wearing as would be seen in more modest bindings, making this a vintage and rare edition. This copy is very clean inside and out. The pages are still crisp, clean and free of markings. The binding is tight and straight, no creasing along spine. The cover is clean and shiny with only very light shelf wear from display.
This Dover Edition is a quality binding designed to last for years and years. The paper is opaque, will not yellow or become brittle w age. Pages are sewn in and will not drop out as can happen with glued binding. Binding should not crack or split. This quality binding makes this collectible quite valuable for its durability.
This edition contains all the illustrations from Drawings by Frederic Remington (1897) and a selection of drawings form The Oregon Trail, Ranch Life and The Hunting Trail by Theodore Roosevelt, along with The Book of the American Indian by Hamlin Garland. It contains a total of 173 illustrations. Four are in full color reproduced on the covers. These illustrations are the Indians, cavalrymen, cattle, buffalo, horses and gamblers and more from the illustrious career of the incomparable Frederic Remington.
